Eversheds Sutherland advises RONMA on its investment in Soluxtec GmbHJuly 01, 2026 Eversheds Sutherland has advised Ronma Solar GmbH, a subsidiary of the Chinese Ronma Solar Group, on the acquisition of assets and its entry as a strategic investor as part of the restructuring of Soluxtec GmbH. The transaction lays the foundation for the continuation of the production site in Trier-Föhren, subject to the issuance of a clearance certificate as part of an investment review by the competent German federal ministry. On 1 July 2026, the Amtsgericht Bitburg opened insolvency proceedings over the assets of Soluxtec GmbH. As part of a structured investor process, Ronma Solar GmbH, a rapidly growing strategic investor from the international photovoltaic industry, was selected. Ronma intends to preserve and further develop the Soluxtec brand, the existing production facilities, and key elements of the company's technical expertise at the site. Soluxtec is a German manufacturer of photovoltaic modules. The planned transaction takes place against the backdrop of a challenging market environment. The Eversheds Sutherland team advising on the German law aspects of the transaction was led by Dr Alexander Honrath (Partner, Corporate Finance, Head of the EU China Desk) and included Dr Sandra Link (Partner, Corporate Finance), Dr Christian Lindner (Principal Associate, Corporate Finance), and Ling Liu (Senior Associate, Corporate Finance).
