Eversheds Sutherland Announces Sponsorship of US Amateur Golf Champion Mason Howell

A Georgia native, Mr. Howell made history when he won the 125th US Amateur Championship, becoming the third‑youngest champion in the event’s history. At just 18 years old, he is competing on golf’s biggest stage while maintaining his amateur status, a distinction that underscores what makes this moment in his career unique.

Under the sponsorship, Eversheds Sutherland will partner with Mr. Howell throughout the 2026 and 2027 seasons, alongside co‑sponsor Huntington Bank.

Mr. Howell will make his Masters debut next week at Augusta National Golf Club, where he will be paired with Rory McIlroy, last year’s Masters champion, for the opening two rounds. Eversheds Sutherland has a long‑standing presence at Augusta National and looks forward to watching Mr. Howell as he takes on one of the sport’s most iconic tournaments.  

After the Masters, Mr. Howell will compete at the US Open Championship in June and The Open Championship in July.
