Eversheds Sutherland Advises Xtellus Capital Partners on Purchase of Oil and Gas Assets from Enap Sipetrol in Argentina

Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to have advised Xtellus Capital Partners on its majority acquisition of key oil and gas assets from Enap Sipetrol in Argentina.
The cross-border energy transaction, which closed on June 13, 2025, includes the offshore Magallanes field in the Austral Basin and a 50% stake in the onshore Campamento Central field in Chubut. The transaction marks a strategic entry into Argentina’s energy sector for Xtellus and Oblitus International, a UK-based entity formed for this acquisition.
The Eversheds Sutherland team, which was led by Corporate Partners Ted Cominos and Cristina Audran-Proca, with support from Senior Associate Evan Johnson, provided comprehensive legal counsel on the structuring, regulatory, and cross-jurisdictional aspects of the deal.
